Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

I have searched this and other sites to find out if anyone on this planet has ever done Aspden's capacitor experiment.  I am unable to find anyone who ever has.
His description MUST include concentric capacitors and MUST be powered by a high voltage, not regular caps and not usual voltages.

He seemed to find it incredible that he could find no record of such a test of his capacitor/aether idea. It would be even more incredible to think that No One has ever tried to test his idea CORRECTLY in the years since he suggested it !!!

If anyone has tried Aspden's idea, they are not sharing the results.  I had a pulser that used a coax delay line for the pulse width and it would put out about twice the voltage that it should have measured with a resistive divider, based on the calculated voltage that it should have provided to the load.  I never explored it further as at the time I thought it was just an error.

Worth exploring.

QuoteIn another paper/lecture/tutorials of Aspden's he makes reference to a rather interesting capacitor design. An air gap, with concentric cylinders within each other (smaller diameter inside the larger, and hence asymmetrical. But, what about the dielectric differences? If the dielectric constants are also asymmetrical, what would that produce? Aspden used a theoretic voltage of 25kV at a pulse/frequency of about 150kHz. I am thinking twice the voltage and 300gHz pulse/frequency. What do you think?

I wanted to try it, but after seeing the cost of copper sheet metal that's needed to make a test rig I quickly backed away from the idea. :)

May I suggest inexpensive copper flashing
as is used for the roofing trade ?

It could be attached to a solid material disc
with adhesive (Contact cement) if needed.

Or dual-clad (Double-sided...) PC boards
cut with a hole saw to size needed,
with a lead through a hole in it
soldered on both sides to make it one ?

e2matrix

Nothing made of copper is going to be cheap.  Copper roof flashing is sold by the roll and even just a 12" wide roll (usually 50' long) is going to run $200 or more.
Sears 14" x 10' = $108.  Some smaller sizes might be had for around $60.  It's a raw commodity and so prices for anything copper is ridiculous now.  About 2 years ago copper took a short dip in price for a while.  But it's back up their now and almost everyone is recycling it so makes getting scrap copper even difficult.  Not trying to discourage anyone here and if you just need a couple square feet you might find a custom home builder that would sell you a small amount or a high end roofer.  But I don't think you'll like the price of roof flashing a Home Depot.

How many square feet do you need I have (guessing)5-6 sq. ft.
Where is the circuit?
