Eliminate the regulating pendulum and the pawl, and Bob's your uncle. Pretty much.
This mechanism has been around since the 1700's.

Simply way:
Batterie inside.
the knop ist using only for electic contac switch.
possibly an
"poor inventor"

 Pese, the knob could be used to apply a magnitic pressure to a swinging and or rotating motion and the magnet on the front could be used to attract the thick wire to keep the motion going.


I am not saying it works or that it can work but it is worth checking out.
