What about the scalar wave emission as shown in the borderland videos? Are those above the radio spectrum? I could of sworn there was a bit more to it than just wireless power. The "Tesla Coil" with all the sparks is a "Lodge Coil" is it not? I was under the impression the only way a real Tesla coil worked was with pulsed DC. For some reason, the current reversing with an AC signal, the phenomena would not occur. I was also under the impression that the only person to truly replicate Tesla was Eric Dollard as shown in the Borderland videos.

In Kapanadzes videos I notice he has two ground connections, the buried auto radiator and the water tap, perhaps one is for the exciter stage to push against and the other is for the collection stage to sink into. He is careful to place the grounds quite far apart using stout cables, perhaps this is necessary to minimises capacitive coupling between the two grounds that might kill the magic?

Hi Hairbear,

Not seen the borderland videos, I will try and view them. As I understand it scalar waves are not above RF in frequency, you can have them at any frequency. They are a largely undocumented phenomena. RF waves swing between the electric field and magnetic field component. Scalar uses a third field, the compression and rarefaction of space itself.

You can generate scalar waves using cancelling mag fields. I think I have produced them using a cadaceus coil fast pulsed with short duty cycle high power pulses, I have heard propogation through a grounded metal enclosure to a battery powered receiver within.

I would love to try and phase lock a scalar wave TX with an EM wave TX, then drive some distance away in my car and observe the received waves on a scope looking for a phase difference, this test would reveal if they do indeed propogate at faster than light speed, I´ve never read of this being done yet.

You hit the primary tank with pulsed DC, often referred to as the "bang", so yes they are excited with only DC, this then causes AC oscillations within the primary and then through inductive coupling the secondary tank. If you had a powerful enough signal source though you could excite the primary with pure AC but it´s much easier and cheaper to just clobber it with a big pulse.

The AC nature of Tesla coil output can be seen nicely in this vid where two coils are producing AC output 90degrees out of phase with each other, hence they prefer to arc to eachother as the potential between them is twice the potential to ground:
