I think the deep hole was just to create a potential difference, maybe something to do with voltage gradients.

lets ask the question why the light lights at all peroid ...  it will not lite from the inputted power alone .. so what is actually takeing place ... in this simple motionless generator ... 

at least i didnt use a 1000w light bulb to demo this effect ....    i mean i could have if you wanted ...

Not to be a prick... But "I think" isn't really valid here...    Anyone can dig a 1000+ ft hole, build a 1000+ ft tower, and check a voltages between (this has been done)...  Does the potential difference between two depths create usable energy?  Probably not at these magnitudes..
