You need to adjust the resistance to your base. It will get rid off the ringing on your emitter  and will increase the amplitude (and consumption   )- at least it does for me.
Is your emitter grounded?-It should be.

not really; was tracking the ringing more, and it's all through the system...
so either it's relative to the cap and inductor that is the scope probe... or it's really there


It does disappear if I remove the grenade...


It's somewhat of a particular with this grenade.... I didn't see such ringing before

emitter is not grounded, it's just on the battery.... but both scopes had ground attached to the emitter rail.

Edit ; right so I swapped grenades and the ringing went away.. also had to be a 1Mhz frequency... when I changed back I couldn't get it for a while until I got back into tune with no scope probes... now it's back up to 1mhz and I see the extra ringing at 4Mhz...
changing resistance... can smooth it out; not sure smooth is the right direction to go...

I was watching tigers video.  Technically Brovin kacher with the transformer. On the scope he shows Ringing impulses-. He start the process with the battery. Than he takes a battery away and you can see how the amplitude goes down (as capacitor decay)  and back up    - like self stabilizing process. and keeps ringing, and ringing , and ringing, and.... you know what I want to say
