I too have friends who got infected with omicron even after the second vaccination. Even after being jabbed with a booster, the symptoms remain.

The hospitals get overwhelmed and millions more could die not including deaths due to all the emergencies and cancelled surgeries. Fair enough, but what about the next pandemic and the one after that?. Living in a make believe world just pretending our problems don't exist doesn't seem like a rational way of solving problems. Seems a little bat shit crazy in my opinion...

Truckers and nearly everyone has to have a way to eat, pay bills, have a roof over their head (especially in Canada) so any of them or most everyone wanting a life has to work. 

Essential Fact:  Mandating experimental medical treatments amounts to war crimes under the first principle of the
Nuremberg Code: "The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person
involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of
choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form
of constraint or coercion."
At the very least truckers are under great duress to take the vaccine if they want to continue to work - which is essential for all the basics of life as stated above.  The vaccines are experimental and indeed are experimental genetic modification commonly referred to as 'gene therapy'.  So much so the FDA or CDC had to quickly change their definition of a 'vaccine'.   

The very doctor who was instrumental in designing the mRNA vaccines is warning people (when he isn't being censored or threatened) about the dangers of these so called vaccines as well as warning about the bad outcomes that using them during a pandemic will likely create even more dangerous virus mutations that can't be stopped by any vaccine. 

There are so many reasons to be stopping any mandatory vaccinations that I could write a book on it with all the evidence I've gathered although I have no intention of doing that.  The only people truly benefiting from mandatory vaccines are big pharma and power hungry politicians and of course those at the highest levels who want everyone controlled by digital vaccine passports and an all digital only currency which can be quickly zeroed out based on your social credit score. 

Write a social media post disagreeing with your local school board on mask mandates and your digital currency suddenly goes to zero.  Biden's attorney general already declared parents who oppose school boards as potential domestic terrorists.  Do you see the slippery slope where things are heading unless everyone gets truly informed and starts saying NO.  No more lockdowns, no more mask mandates and NO mandatory vaccines.   

Let people work again!  If you are afraid of getting covid then wear your double triple mask, get a vaccine and stay home except when you have to go out but my freedom does not end where your (irrational) fears begin and if you are truly informed you will know those fears are being programmed into people by lies in the mainstream media and other sources for very nefarious reasons.

This is the kind of thing which concerns me, many are using logical fallacies in place of a compelling argument.

Your trucker example is an appeal to emotion to manipulate an emotional response in place of a valid argument. As well as false cause presuming the mandate constitutes or will lead to war crimes. As well as the bandwagon fallacy assuming many misinformed people somehow constitutes an informed decision.

You nailed the slippery slope fallacy.
You said that if we allow A to happen, then Z will eventually happen too, therefore A should not happen.

My argument is very easy to understand, Covid is just another virus. As such we should take whatever actions are necessary to protect ourselves and others. No drama or fallacies are required, it's just a virus and we should try to act like responsible adults.

It's been quite a learning experience. I was wrong and many people have proven they do not have the capacity to change or adapt. In the face of adversity many chose fear and false beliefs over science and common sense. I'm an engineering and science guy, I like to stick to the facts.
