meanwhile I tried a 220V bulb  with no result. Only small resonance is there, which imho is necessary . My DC-HV is not stored in a cap (I spent all my caps for the resonant tank/will have to buy them) . Next thing the thick primary ; maybe an important step is to anneal the copper   (mentioned by tiger/annealed copper = semiconductor) . You always see them with a dark oxide layer .

I'm knocking up a single coil version to 00's diagram just to see if there is any FE validity to this setup. One thing I think is worth mentioning, use mosfet's for the HV oscillator in a proper Royer configuration but using an anti-phase coil winding as specified by 00. I have found that the basic two transistor flyback driver circuit shown by 00 is very prone to instability and overheating.

A small spark is achievable at 6V 210mA .

connect  pin zero( ground pin on flyback) to alluminium tube. there was mistake in previous upload figure now corrected.

I've tried this but still nothing out.


I have to check the winding again of the resonant coil.
