Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Hi everyone, im new to this forum but i come bearing gifts lol. This is one of my ideas for perpetual motion, its fairly obvious how it works if you read the text on it. Look forward to hearing what you think.

(ps if you select full size on the explanation image it will rotate it)

The explanation image is not rotating for me.  Are you saying there is an animation of how this works?  I am having a hard time seeing how this is going to move.

Welcome to the forum, and those are some real good pictures of your attempt. But I have some bad news for you. That approach, almost everyone tries in this quest. And there are 3 patents of mildly different designs but they where patented under a different names other than perpetual motion. And so far none of them work. It has something to do with the ramps that just cause to much friction and the angle of the arm don't give enough to make a smooth slide for it seem like it has to lift itself. Looking at what you have done here tells me that you have been studying about PM for some time. It is not the concept of weighted arms sliding through the axle as much as the closed in ramp. You will have to find a better way to shift the weights.
With out a dream, there can be no vision.

your quite right about me following the quest for perpetual motion, every now and then i get ideas pop into my head most of which i tend to disprove fairly quickly but this one just seemed more plausible. That said i did gather that friction would be the main killer.
It would be interesting to build this and see what it does but im currently preoccupied experimenting with an idea involving buoyancy and gravity (maybe wd2d it instead?)
