Thanks for the suggestions. At a recent experiment I had used the attached circuit and I was happy except of the fact that the phase shifting tl072 part had a small range of shifting. Needs some modification there but it was quite simple and reliable. The input signal was taken straight out of the yoke core through a one turn wire coil. I can use this circuit to drive  a push pull to make some high voltage dc to drive my katcher. But first I will try your moustache idea as I have some 500v peak over there

Ps. Pin3 of the comparator needs some small dc offset with two resistors to a level depended of the input signal level so to 'bring' sinus at the positive side.

If you get more than 10V out of current sense transformer, you should drop turns from its secondary. What voltage 1 turn on it gives you?
Also in your pick up circuit the 1uF capacitor is dampening all oscillations and effectively you create RLC circuit with that which got own resonant frequency.

With almost 30T i take 500V peak. I will bring it down if it is to used for sync. but i am more thinking driving this peak as you proposed straight to my Katcher. I will just change my small toroid core for current sensor to a small yoke with thicker wire secondary.

About the 1uF cap you are very right. This was the plan. To make a low pass filter over there as my yoke at this specific experiment was carrying both the Low and the High frequency component. I didn't care about the small phase shifting as my opamp shifter was the next stage.

yes that buzzing is a vibrating relay at the start, note all the capacitors around the torroid, he is using it for fly back from the iron core must be about a Henry or near, the lower the R the higher the Q, so what have you got any build details ?
