The Power Factor is directly a measure of True Power (P) / Apparent Power (S). What does this mean? Well it is a "Unitless quantity" meaning that it does not depend on the actual figure of Voltage / Current directly, but more so the difference of. It can be calculated a few ways, one way is the Cosine of the Angle, so:

   PowerFactor = Cos(theta)

Where, theta is the Phase Angle between the Voltage and the Current.

Its worth doing some study. Its interesting and important.
