Tesla's recommendation involved slicing spiral cuts or separations
into the disk.
I was fixing a shower-rod, slipped and hit my head on the sink. When i came to, that's when i had the idea for the "Flux Capacitor", Which makes Perpetual Motion possible.

I agree with Maxwell.  The magnet disk needs to be a continuous disk, not a pseudo disk made of a bunch of smaller magnets.

Also
Some ring magnets have multiple poles on their faces
even when they appear to be a solid piece


Sometimes this is intentional, like those found in floppy disk drives
Other times this can be caused from use
such as those pulled from a used microwave magnetron
or during manufacturing, due to cheaper processes of magnetization.
