Cosmo, i am always in a mood for an easy experiment. So for the electromagnetic winding i can use a 12 transformer, restrained by a bulb so only 2-3 amps flow the winding. (anyway the magnetci effect is there on core)

What about the suitability of the HV source. Any comment to assure success?

i make video for you of this experiment - because there as i see all guesses are wrong, too complicated - but all thing and concept are much simpler.
