Hello all, I have been continuing with experiments on the above as I feel it is part of the heart of the beast.
I have some bizzare results to share and for you to disect or digest as you see fit.
I am running a modified Royer oscillator (see below)  into a split 22mm Copper tube with 8 Ferrite torroids Permeability 7000.
Open circuit condition:-                 Vdc 12, I 1.04, F 65.3 Khz.
Shorted with single wire:-             Vdc 12.2, I 1.0, F 575.9 Khz.
Load 20W 12Vdc halogen bulb:-   Vdc 5.8, I 5.41, F 37.8 Khz. Low volts due to power supply being unable to provide.
The oscillator is a fixed frequency, but as you can see it changes frequency due to load condition. What I dont understand is why under a short circuit condition the current falls and the voltage rises.The other is why when a resistive load is applied the current goes through the roof.

Any answers?

The increase in frequency is from the primary or secondary side.
Where are you measuring the voltage or current rise? Secondary?
On the schematic you are using a core? If there is then you are limiting the frequency even more. All cores do this. This is why Tesla used no core and wound the secondary on top of the primary. Imagine the frequency you would measure if there wasn't a core.... Again Tesla used a bifilar type primary. This was to reduce the reactive portion of a standard solenoid from the spark gap impulses. And then only the natural resistance or the wire was left. This allowed for a speeding up of the impulse beyond what was normal to standard coils and hence a gain of energy could be obtained.


Tesla did a great many experiments on charged particles and even when the charge was the same if the speed increased then an increase in energy was secured when that charge hit an object. This is the whole premise behind his death ray.

All DC measurements were carried out on the input to the oscillator, the frequency measurement was taken from the output to the single tubular primary. I suppose you could say that the transformer has a core but it wraps over the primary. The secondary (just a single wire) runs through the tubular primary. As you are probably aware Royer oscillators find, and run at,  their resonant frequency, I wonder  if what is happening is cased by the change in circuit parameters?
Any way I will keep on investigating.

Ok I looked up the Royer oscillator and it seems straight forward. But that is a DC to AC converter. DC in to AC out but the AC is not sinusoid. It is a square wave AC output.


This is not what I have talked about in the slightest. Yours is center tapped and the Tesla oscillator is not generally centered tapped. The Royer oscillator is also saturable core transformer which can give weird outputs as you have seen.


The transformer I suggested is a new breed of static like output because it raises the voltage beyond what other transformer can do.
