Thanks for the posts of some of the gasifier technology available on the net. As we can see this technology is extremely viable as a solution today and is very promising

I think it is important that we understand why gasifier technology is so important to the individual. The reason that we currently have an energy crisis is because the access to and processing of fossil fuels is a centralised industry. When people allowed all technology to be moved away from steam and over to oil they lost the ability to collect and process their own fuel.

What is currently happening is that there is a movement back toward controlling and processing your own raw resource. This is why gasifier technology is so promising, it allows the individual to control their own energy supply and subsequently provide their own survival needs.

The point of the EGU is that it is available in off the shelf component form and requires very little skill or knowledge to construct. Once prototypes have been constructed they will be improved with the features that you see in the units in the videos. This will keep the cost down and allow you to control your own hardware. Alternatively you can buy one of the retail units at a vastly inflated price.

Now that we have our own energy source we can use that fuel to process more fuel, this is the beauty of the ICE powered wood chipper, and the cost in driving a van to the location where the fuel is to be collected will be zero also as the gasifier can also run the ICE engine in the truck. We can also use that fuel to run engines which will allow us to create electricity to power off the shelf growing technology. We can also use that energy to pump and distil seawater and use that water to drink or alternatively to irrigate land, turning lifeless desert into lush paradise suitable for growing more fuel and food! 

Recently in the UK it was reported by the MSM that the police busted a group growing cannabis and confiscated the 6 heavy duty diesel plant generators they were using. They were probably consuming well over 100Kw of energy with those machines so you can imagine the size of the crop they were growing. They also would not have been bothered about the diesel cost considering the street value of the end product. This goes to show that using ICE generators to grow this particular crop on an industrial scale is not only practical but the method of choice for serious growers. This is particularly valuable information when you consider that there are many isolated communities all over the world that dream of having the capability to grow such large amounts of food off the grid, but are prohibited from this method by high fuel costs.

So, we can see that there is now a viable option to grow your own food on any scale you desire with very little work and absolutely no dependence on society for energy supply. This is why I believe people are going to be extremely interested in these systems. You can sit around and wait for the corporations to provide you with the solution if you want, but I would not hold your breath.
