Hello Again,

This is not a measurement error. I'm getting double the voltage and double the current when I connect these two "crystal" batteries together in series. When I measure the voltage and current with just one of the batteries, I read half the voltage and half the amps. When both connected in series, I get the doubling of both. Therefore this cannot be a galvanic reaction taking place in these cells. If what I understand from the Lord is correct, some further experiments should reveal some more interesting results.

Also, these two batteries which take up only 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch are now able to power a 3.5 volt LED, up from the 1.7 volt red LED.

I really cannot answer most of your questions. I was playing around with Davidovits silicate materials when dani first opened this thread. I only joined to pass on that info I passed to you yesterday.
Then I tried some of the things myself.

You can make potassium silicate which might have slightly different characteristics.

It was when you said that reid uses heat that I looked up davidovits again.
If you make the silicates then mix in some powdered rock, you will get a rock after time, if you do it right.
Once you add a little heat, it will make a very hot reaction and cook itself.
I never heated mine.

The youtube videos show more clearly what needs to happen to make a solid rock, and I can say now, I never did it right.
I was not sure I ever had the chemistry right either, but I think this all should be close to making a working non-galvanic crystal. You might need to wait 30 days to find out how it is. It seems to me that if you add various rock powders, you should find the promising ones, and later combine them.
This group has already made many material trials and failures, and can offer a good base for more research.

I believe Marcus reid and hutchinson are both closed mouth and we must make our own research and share it.

I got lots of volts (2-3v but virtually no uA), but whenever things became dry the charge stopped. It also ate through the aluminum foil I was using for electrodes.

Silanes and siloxanes are things to look into also, imo.
