Regarding his short video, notice that when he puts the ammeter next to the TPU and reads around 123 this means 1.23 amps. But here was no load connected to the TPU when he read this. But there has to be a load to read the amperage. So I think the load is the looping back of the power returning into theÃ,  TPU, and the real output load of lamps is then connected in parallel to the loop. Does this make any sense. Also about the ammeter, do you think they had DC ammeters in 97. My clamp on ammeter is a recent model that is both Ac and DC but these are rare. I think his meter was AC only. I am trying to find any specs on the ammeter he used but no luck yet.

Yes I wondered about this point too and I came to the conclusion that the ammeter was acting as a collector coil in its own right.
As I undertand it, with AC clamp meters you effectively make a small transformer but you need to pass a single wire though the clamp for it to work. According to wiki for DC it works like a toroidal hall effect sensor.

PS MEDIAFIRE's Servers are awsome im pullin down 1.18MB per second crazy transfer rate i think thats where my docsys 2.0 modem is capped but if you can get the iso there that would be even easier than the torrent. If not thanks either way its great your doing this for the team.
