A few questions:

If you had a Tesla coil approaching infinite Q, what is the result?

- An input energy approaching 0.
- An output voltage approaching infinity.
- An output current approaching 0.
- A resonant frequency approaching infinity.

Does the resulting near infinite electrostatic field propagate away from the transmitting coil?

If yes, will a distant coil tuned to the same frequency resonate in the varying electrostatic field?

If yes, does it load the transmitting coil when in the near field? What about outside the near field?


My reason for asking is simple. In Telsa's Colorado Spring notes, he spends a great deal of time asking how much 'pressure' it requires at a distant coil to establish a resonance large enough to power a load to the required level. If that 'pressure' is really just an electrostatically induced wave which excites a distant coil, and with a Q approaching infinity, that wave can be generated with an input approaching 0, isn't OU just a super high Q Tesla coil driving one or more lower Q coils at distance?
