Hi Grumage and rest,

I have tried to assemble Caduceus coil primary base on Antanas /LITHUANIA device merely to get reading from meter.

Since i'm using available components i just assemble caduceus style winding directly on ferrite rod merely to know the inductance via L/C meter.
I know my caduceus style winding was not really symmetrical but very strange thing i observe the inductance reading was just "5.8uH" on ferrite rod using 1 strand of 18AWG..

I am curious to know what was suppose to be the inductance reading on "actual Caduceus coil primary" is it suppose to be 1uH or lower or suppose to be "absolute zero".
The diode used on  Antanas /LITHUANIA device as shown in video is unknown i'm curious to know is it 25KV or 30KV or 50KV and amps rating for diode is it 1Amp.

Can anyone advise me what is the spec of this HV diode .I need to know the voltage and current rating.Thanks.

Hi magpwr,

It is strange that the KЦ108А is not known but the 2Ц108А is knownin the data sheets. see this link for instance:
http://www.qrz.ru/reference/kozak/diodes/dih08.shtml

So the 2Ц108А type  has a 2 kV pulsed (or peak)  reverse voltage and maybe 180 mA forward current at 6V forward voltage drop, frequency is 50 kHz.

There is a KC108A here, maybe it is the same as KЦ108А  I do not know: http://www.evita.lt/en/p-catalogue/id-5/sel-6/st-160/diodes_160.html

Of course I know that the cyrillic Ц is a latin C and maybe in the link they simply used latin letters instead of the cyrillic ones...

Regarding your caduceus winding, from my earlier windings years ago I recall it was not zero or near zero uH values it did have in some ten uH inductance for some hundred turns on a ferrite rod from an AM radio. OF course for less than some hundred turns the results can go below 10 uH or lower but not like for a bifilar cancelling winding.

Hi Gyulasun,

Thank you so much as i was having hard time decoding the diode spec merely using 108A.There was too many invalid response none which i can spot is HV.

Dear magpwr.

Having got some insider knowledge ;) I can confirm that the diodes used were KTS201E rated at 15Kv. If you refer to the chart that dear Gylasun posted earlier, you will find them.

I too have wound a Caduceus coil  using 6x1mm dia insulated copper magnet wire and it's inductance is just 0.96 micro H. Now please don't forget that your secondary coil should be equal in "MASS" to that of the primary winding. Ah La "Tesla balance". I have already looked for the ring up that was seen in the video but unfortunately my present signal generator only goes to 1 Mhz. I think that the frequency applied was quite a bit higher!!

Good luck, Grum.
