I did not invent the "shotgun" approach. I just named it.
The lower the PRF, the shorter the rise and fall time of the spark-gap - the denser the spectrum of frequencies generated in one pulse.  Spark-gaps have short nanosecond rise times, but their fall times are very looooooong (up to 100 000 longer). 
There are numerous techniques to shorten the fall time of a spark-gap.

If you have a look at the specification of Nanoperm it contains a veritable smorgasbord of NMR ingredients!!

Nanoperm has one very unique property, namely an extremely high magnetic permeability that is 80 000 higher than air.  This makes it ideal for shielding and flux guiding.
If the device operating principle relies on βASER, then I doubt that the Nanoperm is the Gain Medium (but I allow for that possibility).

It is much more likely, that the aluminum disk/ring/pipe between two Nanoperm segments is the Gain Medium where the fast electrons are ejected from the aluminum nuclei.
This is because for good magnetic confinement of moving charged particles, a static (or LF) magnetic flux ideally should be parallel to the axis of the aluminum disk/ring/pipe inside it, and perpendicular to the axis outside of it. 
This confining magnetic field geometry is very hard to achieve, because the magnetic flux lines do not "like" to bend at right angles, however Nanoperm's high permeability allows them to approach right angles.
Also, for good confinement of charged particles in a disk/ring/pipe, it is advantageous for the magnetic flux density to increase with the distance from the axis.

Finally, note that the confining magnetic field, described above, is only one field of two.  To excite the nuclei by NMR a second field must permeate the Gain Medium. This exiting field must alternate at the Larmor frequency (usually kHz or MHz) and be perpendicular to the first static (or LF) confining field, described in the preceding paragraph.  This exciting field geometry can be achieved by two opposing coaxial coils, as illustrated in Diag.2a and Diag.2b here.

NickZ three turn yoke coil is not earth grounded. He is going to the capacitor but not to ground. Ferrite Sausage with 2000-3000 permeability need to be checked but in my oppinion and after analyze of Akula videos he used intrinsic cylindrical capacitor from Aluminium (or Copper Free Oxigen) with BaTiO3 dielectric or something similar. Maybe Nanoperm stripes - kind of permalloy, maybe Metglass or something similar. In any case something with high magnetic permeability or maybe air-core choke. We have about 95% of Akula device infos need only 5% for truthful schematic. Tunung the whole generator is other story. Look back about 10-20 page to find out Russian inverter which Akula used in his video with horizontal Tesla transformers. Make any high power generator up to 100 Watts with TL494 like in schematic i have gave. For transistors use Power Mosfets or IGBT. When tuning connect in series with power-supply to transistors some light bulb(s) to avoid excess overcurrent in their drain-stok or collector-emitter circuit and their demage. Or make them from many parallel high power transistors with continious current 200-300 A. And always use Heavy Cooler - water or air colling !! This is needed !!

I know you are 200 miles away from nearest electronic shop but you can obtain needed parts from ebay in big quantities and than you can make experiments. Also take it oscillograph from Grumage as his gift to you. You will need it to see what's really going on in your circuits.

Grumage i think you will have success with this stuff for dielectric like on the picture .  Try it !!

Grumage study these Tesla British patents before experiments. I think they are in close proximity with the OU effect we are looking for !!
