I'm asking, has any one tried using a Wimshurst to find the frequency. They can be made to pulse at high frequency low amperage. Best one I've ever seen only put out 5 micro-amperes. Or is it impossible to use static electricity? Some one in Australia has a reproduction working according to the video in google.

Do you have the video link? I am just about to build a Wimshurst soon, well not exactly a Wimshurst but Bonetti one, it seam to produce a lot of static compared to a Wimshurst
