@Norbert
........
Ist dir was aufgefallen???? .....

Hi Otto

Gru?, Norbert

Hi All,

Hi All,

Alu-28 (3.3547) http://www.haba.ch/page315.aspx
Alu-35 (3.3547/EN AW-5083) http://www.haba.ch/page313.aspx

Alu-7075 (3.4365/EN AW-7075) http://www.haba.ch/page347.aspx

Electrolytic condenser electrode and aluminum foil therefor

... an aluminum foil as a raw material used to prepare the electrode and a method of etching the aluminum foil. ....

The present inventors have carried out a series of researches and studies to find that a small quantity of Mg (viz., magnesium) had better be added to a raw aluminum foil. The added amount of Mg was effective to increase the density of etching pits, not reducing the number of `cubic azimuth` in but improving capacitance of the electrode foil.
According to the present invention established based on such a knowledge, an aluminum foil comprising 99.9% by weight or more of aluminum and containing Mg of 50-500 ppm is provided.

The aluminum purity of the foil provided herein must be 99.9% or higher, because impurities contained in large quantities would hinder the etching pits from growing to a desired extent in a preferable manner during the etching process. Even the prescribed amount of Mg would be insufficient in such an event to ensure production of a number of uniform and deep tunnel-shaped etching pits, thus failing to realized a sufficiently high electrostatic capacitance. Therefore, a more preferable aluminum purity of the raw foil is 99.98% or higher.

Mg contained in aluminum foil is an element serving to evenly distribute the pits, during the etching process.

The following idea is publicized under GPL license.  Everyone may use it, nobody owns it, it may not be patented because it is now prior art and not new.

HOW TO KEEP HOT ALU TPU PLATE COLDER

Make the plate out of many, insulated thin layers of aluminum foil instead of an aluminum plate.  The aluminum foil sheets could be pressed and glued together, with the glue serving to electrically insulate layers from each other.  Those skilled in the art realize there are many ways to manufacture a laminated aluminum plate out of thin foil.

This would greatly reduce eddy-current losses and therefore the temperature also.

From http://www.climatepro.com/Radient%20Heat%20Barrier%20-%20frequently%20asked%20questions.htm
Kitchen foil is 75% tin
however this is not confirmed by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminum_foil

What does http://www.alufoil.org/eng/alufoil_345.html say?
The aluminium metal is then produced from alumina by passing an electric current through it in a process called ?electrolytic reduction?. The resulting silvery metal is the basis of a wide range of alloys made by adding small amounts of other metals to provide the specific characteristics needed for each application. For most alufoil packaging, virtually pure aluminium is used but, increasingly, alloys are being ?tailored? in order to lend added strength, so allowing the possible reduction of thickness for the same performance.
Making Aluminium foil
Alufoil is a very thin sheet of aluminium ranging from about 0.006mm to the upper ISO defined limit of 0.2mm (200?m). It is produced by first rolling heated ingots (hot rolling) down to coils of thickness between 2 and 4 mm, then successively cold rolling the coil to the required foil thicknesses. A second method, continuous casting, bypasses the ingot stage and converts molten metal directly into a thick strip which is immediately rolled into the coil from which the foil is then rolled. To obtain the very thinnest foils, two layers are rolled simultaneously. This ?double rolling? results in the difference between the two surfaces ? matt and polished.

I will continue my research to find out the chemical composition of kitchen aluminum foil and report back.

Hi Otto,

k?nnen Sie diesen Otto best?tigen?

Hallo
@Earl
